Sixty-eight years after the first and only Italian translation of Albert Camus’ The Stranger, by Alberto Zevi, a new version by Sergio Claudio Perroni was published in 2015 (once more by Bompiani). Little has been said about it and its importance. In this article, through a series of examples, Damiano Latella points out differences between the two translations which would deserve much more attention.
