SERGIO ATZENI, GREAT WRITER GREAT TRANSLATOR

Sergio Atzeni was not only a great writer, but a great translator. “tradurre” commemorates the 20th anniversary of his tragic death by republishing Patrick Chamoiseau’s compassionate tribute to him, as well as the transcription of a seminar held by Atzeni at Parma University, with an introduction by Gigliola Sulis. An article by Paola Mazzarelli retracing Atzeni’s career as a translator and Yasmina Melahoua’s analysis of his translation of Texaco are also part of the remembrance.
