This number introduces a new section, “Quinta di copertina”, offering translators an ideal space in which to explain or comment on their choices, or even just express their joy and misery over a recently published translation of theirs. The aim is to cover the widest possible variety of languages, literary genres and authorial voices. The first four translators to contribute to the section are: Fulvio Ferrari, on Tumbas by Dutch author Cees Nooteboom; Giacomo Longhi, on Negarān nabāš by Iranian author Mahsā Moḥeb‘ali; Daniele A. Gewurz on Philip Ball’s essay Invisible. The Dangerous Allure of the Unseen; and Giuseppe Girimonti Greco on D’entre les morts, by best-selling writers Pierre Boileau and Thomas Narcejac.
