In Einaudi publishing house’s golden age, when a translation needed to be completely rewritten by the editorial staff, it was usually attributed to a non-existent character, Luca Lamberti. And when a book or an entry for the Encyclopaedia was written by more than one person, Luca Lamberti became the author. This is why in Einaudi’s catalogue Luca Lamberti, who is still active, appears to be an expert in all languages and on all subjects.
