AN AMERICAN EDITION OF PRIMO LEVI’S COMPLETE WORKS

On 15th October 2015 Norton Liveright presented in New York the three volumes of Primo Levi’s Complete Works, edited by Ann Goldstein. In this interview, Domenico Scarpa, publishing consultant for Turin’s Centro Internazionale Primo Levi, who collaborated with Goldstein, answers Susanna Basso’s challenging questions, illustrating the novelty of these translations for the American reader, the difficulties which had to be overcome and the deep linguistic and cultural meaning of this edition.
